Lava Embers

Subterranean Oracle

Beneath Eastern Oregon,
where the desert keeps its oldest secrets
under basalt and silence,
the lava tubes open like forgotten throats
in the body of the earth.

There, light does not enter gently.

It falls in fragments.
It cuts across stone.
It turns skin, metal, dust, and shadow
into a language older than speech.

In these subterranean chambers,
my trademark tones become something elemental —
platinum blue against volcanic black,
silver skin against the ancient dark,
moonlit bodies standing where fire once moved.

The cave remembers heat.
The photograph remembers light.

Three figures gather in the stone mouth
like guardians of an underground myth.
They do not pose as decoration.
They stand as presence —
as ceremony,
as warning,
as beauty sharpened by darkness.

Jewelry becomes constellation.
Bare skin becomes sculpture.
The lava wall becomes a cathedral
built not by hands,
but by pressure, time, and fire.

Then the image turns inward.

Arms lift.
Bodies curve.
The cave becomes theater, temple, wound.
Every gesture feels like a spell
spoken without sound.
A ritual of shadow and breath,
where the earth itself seems to listen.

And then —
the orb.

A small moon held in human hands.
A star stolen from the ceiling of night.
A glowing secret lifted toward the stone,
as if asking the cave
to return an answer.

The light blooms too bright to be contained.
It spills over fingers, hair, fabric, dust,
and turns the darkness into witness.

This is not simply a portrait session.
It is a descent.

Into black stone.
Into blue shadow.
Into the memory of lava.
Into the mystery of what still lives
beneath the surface.

In Eastern Oregon’s subterranean lava tubes,
beauty becomes less about softness
and more about survival.

The body becomes flame after the fire.
The cave becomes the vessel.
The photograph becomes the relic.

And somewhere between platinum blue and volcanic black,
between skin and stone,
between desire and myth,
the earth opens its eye.
